Co-create with us
We co-design sessions with you so that the horse herd can support and deepen the themes or experiences of your retreat. Horses are powerful co-regulators, masters at mindfulness, sensitive & herd-based relational beings. They demand presence and celebrate authenticity, they express real-time biofeedback but without judgment and add a real “felt-sense” into all your retreat experiences. Comfortable with emotions, appreciating vulnerability — this is the horses’ world, now fully integrated with yours.
Already trusted by retreat leaders & practitioners worldwide
We’ve co-facilitated with renowned coaches, therapists, and facilitators across a wide range of practices—from neuroscience and nervous system work, to family constellations and Internal Family Systems, from yoga and energy healing, to corporate leadership and team-building, animal communication, art, outdoor adventure, writing, and more. Whatever the discipline, doing it as part of a herd in a fully-immersive natural environment really takes things to the next level.
No matter your modality, the horses amplify and deepen your work in ways that are unforgettable and highly impactful.
We only host one retreat at a time so you will have full use of the 85-acre property and all meals on-site are included.
“It’s a combination of the horses, the place, the land, the people, the food - I’ve never felt so good”
- Nancy T.
“Bringing my group here was beyond anything I could have planned. The horses created moments of clarity and connection that no experience I’ve ever designed could match.”
— Danielle, Retreat Leader
More than just a venue—the land co-facilitates your retreat
At Tula Vida, the environment is not a backdrop—it’s a co-facilitator.
An off-grid sanctuary
Surrounded by miles of untouched rainforest with sweeping sunset valley views and three volcanos, the land holds your group in a field of calm where nervous systems naturally settle. This foundation allows participants to go deeper, faster.
Fueled by solar power with fresh spring water and our own food garden, there is a real sense of returning back to a simpler, more natural way of life.
Horses as co-facilitators
Roaming freely across the land, the horses are woven into the whole retreat. Often, it’s in the quiet, unguided moments between sessions—unplanned encounters and gentle presence—that leave the deepest impact on participants.
Safe, grounded human spaces
Strong arches and a rustic yet elegant design, combined with comfortable beds and good showers, plus incredible views, create a sense of harmony, safety and calm—supporting your clients to feel both held and open to exploration.
Nature that supports the work
The rainforest’s sounds, rhythms and scents gently regulate circadian balance and restore equilibrium beneath the surface all the time, creating ideal conditions for transformational processes.
Purpose-matched spaces
From open meadows that invite group and herd connection, to shaded forest trails perfect for quiet reflection; from expansive volcano valleys to tucked-away, enclosed corners; from riverside spots to starlit terraces for ceremony—you can align each session with a natural setting that amplifies its intention.
