Ways to Work With Us

Horses Wherever You Are

Do you miss the feeling of being truly seen — the way a horse looks straight past everything you perform, right to who you are?

Do you miss belonging — really belonging — the feeling of standing quietly within a herd of horses, with nothing to prove and nothing to explain?

You don’t have to be at the ranch to feel that connection. Wherever you are in the world, you can spend time with the herd.

Two Ways to Stay Close to the Herd

Horse-Guided Coaching — Live Online Sessions with the Tula Vida Herd

There's a lot of coaching out there.

Very little of it happens live from an 85-acre off-grid ranch with a rescue herd in Costa Rica, with horses responding in real time from their own environment.

This isn’t watching horses on a screen. It’s joining them in their space.

Together we’ll sit with the herd in real time, following their responses, their curiosity and their presence as they naturally unfold during the session.

Bringing a horse into the coaching conversation changes what’s possible. Rather than relying on thoughts and words alone, we have a powerful sensory animal responding in real time to the session. The horses’ movements, responses and choices can interrupt familiar patterns of thinking and open up new perspectives and unseen possibilities.

We’ve learned not to underestimate what shows up during these sessions. Again and again, something in the herd — and often something beyond the herd — seems to open exactly the insight or experience that is needed.

Who This Is For

This is for you if you’ve been to Tula Vida before and want to check back in — to reflect on what came up while you were here, or get fresh guidance on what’s alive for you now.

This is also for you if Costa Rica isn’t possible right now, but you’re longing for the perspective, presence and wisdom of the horse herd.

What we might explore together

Authentic Self

Authentic Self — who am I on the inside, beneath the roles, expectations, and “shoulds”? Horses have a remarkable way of responding to the person underneath the story we’re telling ourselves.

Nervous System Regulation — what is my system actually carrying, and what would real safety feel like, not just comfort or numbing? The horses often respond to what’s happening in your nervous system before you’ve found words for it.

Being Seen — there is nothing quite like feeling seen, heard, felt and understood, without being judged. Yet we often don’t feel that. Is what’s happening inside me aligned with what I’m showing outside? What do I really feel / want / need? How do I know? Ask a horse.

Intuition — what do I sense and know before I explain it away? Letting the busy mind quiet so the intuitive senses can speak.

Belonging — how am I relating to myself, others, and what’s around me — and where do I still long to belong? Perhaps this is what’s missing, and exactly what you’ll feel with the herd.

Decisions — where is there a yes, a no, or a need for space? Clarity is often easier to find here, where the pressure is off and herd support is abundant.

Trust — what happens when I stop trying to control the outcome? More being, less doing, is often what the horses teach.

Rest — am I moving at a pace that lets me stay connected to myself? Visit the ranch virtually, and let yourself actually settle, not just pause.

Something Bigger — (re)finding the life force available to you from nature, horses, and the wider field.

FAQ

Do I need horse experience?

No. Many people have never worked with horses before.

You’ll be live with us from the ranch while we’re with the herd. The horses — and often the dogs, wild creatures or even the weather itself — join the call and interact. We simply invite you to experience it for yourself and be amazed by how powerful it can be!

Yes — or you can let the herd decide who joins your session.

We offer sessions across the Americas and Europe — Costa Rica is on Central Standard Time year-round (no daylight saving).

Herdside — Monthly Community

A monthly horse-guided community for grounding, reflection, delight and connection.

Community feels different here. Belonging is a felt sense.

It’s knowing the horses by name. It’s hearing stories from the ranch. It’s laughing at the dogs, celebrating a rescue, or watching the herd sleep in the sun or gather in the rain. It’s remembering how it feels to slow down together.

Looking into the eyes of a horse touches your soul. So let’s do it more often!
